A plane has struck an unidentified object while diverting away from Leipzig's airport after a drone laden with explosives was discovered on the airfield.
German airports are on high alert after a series of unauthorised drone overflights at sites including military facilities, energy terminals, seaports and logistics companies.
One German newspaper reported that the drone found at the airport was discovered not far from a Ukrainian cargo plane.
