Why it matters
The significant price jump highlights trends in luxury real estate development and the growing market for high-end, self-contained family compounds.
Some country estates are designed for quiet weekends. Others seem built for an entire community. Elham Valley, a sprawling 118-acre property outside Columbia, Tennessee, falls firmly into the second category. Once a largely undeveloped retreat with just 1,000 square feet of living space, the estate has undergone a dramatic transformation and is now back on the market for $19.9 millions, states an online report by Realtors. As per the report, the price is nearly three times the $6.8 million it fetched in spring 2025, reflecting an extensive build-out that has turned the property into a fully equipped multigenerational compound.
