Tenkasi District Crime Branch registers land grabbing case against DMK MLA, 5 others including Sub-Registrar
A physically challenged laborer has filed a criminal complaint against a DMK MLA and five others, alleging they fabricated documents to illegally seize his family's land. The complainant claims the land was transferred through fraudulent sale deeds and power of attorney without the consent of all legal heirs.

A physically challenged labourer has accused DMK MLA of Kadayanallur T.M. Rajendran and five others, including a Sub-Registrar, for allegedly grabbing his land by “fabricating false documents.”
In his complaint with the District Crime Branch, differently abled labourer N. Murugaiah of Akkamalai in Valparai in Coimbatore district said his father Nagaiah and Nagaiah’s younger brother Balu had 9.70 acre in Thirumalaapuram village in Sankarankovil Taluk. The brothers had joint patta in their names for this land.
Without apportioning this property to the children or executing any will about this land, Nagaiah passed away in October 2009.
Against this backdrop, Mr. Rajendran’s cousin Chelladurai of Thirumalapuram allegedly executed a “fabricated sale deed” in the Meelaneelithanallur sub-registrar’s office in 2008 in his name to grab the land measuring 2.75 acre with the help of Sub-Registrar, Melaneelithanallur.
