A 55-year-old temple priest was arrested by the Erode Taluk police on Wednesday (August 19) for allegedly sexually harassing a college student on a moving bus. The accused, Ganesh of Karukkampalayam in Vaikalmedu on the Erode–Perundurai Road, was travelling on a bus passing through the Thindal area when he allegedly harassed the student, who raised an alarm and other fellow passengers alerted the police. Based on her complaint, the police arrested Ganesh. He was produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.
