Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple trust board Chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu on Thursday evening inspected the temple managed cow shelter, coconut sales centre, the amphitheatre, and the luggage storage rooms for devotees.
Inspecting the cow shelter, he reviewed the procurement and daily consumption of fodder, the stock of medicines for the shelter, and the production of Vibhuti (sacred ash). Speaking on the occasion, he emphasised the need to prioritise cleanliness and hygiene within the cow shelter, noting that this would bring about a sacred atmosphere.
He directed that only a specific number of cows be housed in each shed to facilitate systematic cow care and management. As a precautionary measure, he instructed that vaccinations be administered regularly and on schedule to protect the cows from contagious and seasonal diseases.
