WARANGAL: A 31-year-old woman from Telangana died in a road accident in the St Louis area of Missouri, US, after a truck rammed into her car late on Saturday night. Daram Supriya, a native of Maripeda in Mahabubabad district, was returning home after closing her restaurant when the accident occurred, family members said.While Supriya died on the spot, her friend, who was accompanying her and is from Kodad in Telangana’s Suryapet district, sustained serious injuries. According to reports, the friend was shifted to a nearby hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.“We have no words. We are in a state of shock after learning about the incident,” said D Srinivas, Supriya’s father, who currently lives near Naidupeta Circle in Khammam. He has written to chief minister A Revanth Reddy, urging the govt to help bring his daughter’s mortal remains to India for the last rites.
