Telangana to strengthen healthcare in Adilabad, Asifabad and Nirmal: Health Minister
The Telangana government is expanding healthcare infrastructure and specialized medical services in the Adilabad, Asifabad, and Nirmal districts. The initiative aims to reduce the need for residents to travel to Hyderabad for quality treatment by upgrading local medical colleges and community health centers.

The Telangana government is taking measures to further strengthen public healthcare services in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad and Nirmal districts to ensure that people receive quality treatment within their own districts without having to travel to Hyderabad, said Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha on Monday (July 27).
Reviewing medical services, infrastructure and the progress of development works in the three districts in Hyderabad, the Minister said the government’s focus is on expanding healthcare facilities, improving infrastructure and introducing specialised medical services in underserved regions, particularly tribal and forest areas.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the functioning of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad and other government medical colleges in these districts along with Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and sub-centres.
