Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday announced that the State government would sponsor annual f oreign study tours for government school teachers to help them upgrade their skills and gain exposure to best practices in education, similar to the official overseas training programmes undertaken by All India Services (AIS) officers.
Addressing government school teachers who returned after completing an exposure programme in Finland and Germany, at the Dr. MCR Human Resource Development Institute in Hyderabad on Thursday (July 30, 2026), the Chief Minister, who is also Education Minister, said the State government would create opportunities for teachers to pursue advanced learning abroad and bear the expenditure for such programmes.
“From now on, we will provide teachers with opportunities to go abroad for further studies. Plans should be prepared to ensure the government bears the costs required for quality education,” he said.
