Telangana government will look into request of spacetech companies for development of a Space City to bring together the ecosystem and provide the specialised infrastructure needed to accelerate growth, Minister for IT and Industries D.Sridhar Babu said on Saturday.

The Minister, who interacted with the leadership of 14 spacetech companies here, welcomed the recommendation and said the government would evaluate it as part of its broader ambition to position Hyderabad among the world’s top five space-tech hubs.

After building globally competitive strengths in the fields of information technology, Life Sciences and aerospace and defence, Telangana has set its sights on space technology as a fourth pillar of its economic growth story, Mr. Sridhar Babu said.
