Telangana prohibited properties list available online; absence of effective search option compounds difficulties in accessing details

Landowners in Telangana are facing difficulties due to the lack of an effective search tool for the state's prohibited properties list under Section 22A. While the list is available online, the absence of a user-friendly interface prevents owners from verifying their property status without visiting government offices.
Why it matters
The lack of digital accessibility creates significant administrative hurdles and legal uncertainty for property owners.
Distressed land owners whose properties in Telangana have been included in the prohibited list under Section 22A of the Registration Act are yet to get relief.
The website of Registration & Stamps Department no doubt has list of prohibited properties (agriculture and non-agriculture) under Section 22A. But absence of suitable search option, wherein land owners can enter their name, khata number and other details to find the status of their properties, is compounding their difficulties.
