TPCC vice-president and Palakurthi constituency in-charge Hanumandla Jhansi Rajender Reddy has urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to establish a dedicated Telangana NRI Commission to safeguard the interests and rights of non-resident Telangana people and address their grievances.

Along with Government Whip Addanki Dayakar, she met the Chief Minister and submitted a representation outlining the need for a statutory mechanism to coordinate with the Telangana diaspora across the world.

She said lakhs of people from Telangana were living abroad but the absence of a dedicated institutional mechanism for direct coordination with the State government was leaving many NRIs to deal with their problems on their own, she said.
