Telangana mulls CoE for MSMEs, grievance day to resolve issues

Telangana's government is planning to establish a Centre of Excellence for MSMEs to boost technology adoption and market access. The state also intends to launch a monthly grievance day to help resolve issues faced by small and medium enterprises.
Why it matters
This initiative aims to strengthen the industrial base and improve the ease of doing business for small-scale entrepreneurs in the region.
A centre of excellence (CoE) for micro, small and medium enterprises that will support technology adoption, market access and investment linkages for the MSMEs is planned in Telangana, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said here on Saturday.
It is being proposed with a focus on promoting products made in Telangana in national and international markets, the Minister said inaugurating the LUB MSME South India Summit, organised by Laghu Udyog Bharati (Telangana).
The MSMEs played a vital role in industrial development and supported the livelihoods of millions of families, he said, highlighting measures the State government has initiated for such enterprises, particularly a dedicated MSME policy to strengthen and improve support for such businesses.
The government was also planning to organise a monthly MSME grievance day to address grievances of their enterprises and facilitate their resolution, Mr. Sridhar Babu said.
