Telangana mulling over special mechanism for NRI grievances: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Telangana government is considering the creation of a legally empowered special mechanism to address issues faced by Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and their parents living in the State.
Addressing the 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) National Convention at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland in the U.S.A., Mr. Vikramarka said the proposed platform would facilitate the prompt resolution of problems faced by NRIs abroad as well as concerns affecting their families in Telangana.
He urged Telangana natives living overseas to enrol as voters through the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, noting that eligible citizens anywhere in the world can register online. He appealed to the NRIs to take advantage of the process and ensure their names are included in the voters list.
