Telangana Medical Council uncovers unauthorised modern medicine practices at several health centres in Kalwakurthy and Amangal

The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) conducted surprise inspections at clinics, nursing homes, hospitals and diagnostic centres in Kalwakurthy and Amangal mandals on October 2 as part of its drive against unauthorised practice of modern medicine.
TGMC members Dr. G. Srinivas and Dr. Imran Ali carried out the inspections and identified several instances where individuals were practising modern medicine or prescribing allopathic medicines without the required qualifications or registration.
At K. Swamy Homeo Care and Clinic, K. Swamy, who holds a B.Com qualification, was allegedly found practising modern medicine. At Sri Lakshmi Clinic, G. Balaiah, an Intermediate-qualified practitioner, was allegedly providing allopathic treatment, with antibiotics, antifungals and dexamethasone injections at the premises.
