Telangana Congress seeks NRI support at ATA Convention for Rahul Gandhi as PM and Telangana’s growth

Telangana Congress leaders used the platform of the 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) convention in Baltimore to reach out to the Indian diaspora, urging Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to support the Congress both in Telangana and nationally under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing a meeting of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC), on the sidelines of the ATA convention, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao appealed to overseas Telugus to continue extending their support to the Congress government headed by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
They alleged that forces ‘hostile’ to Telangana’s progress were attempting to tarnish the image of the State government.
The leaders accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of leaving Telangana financially weak during its decade-long rule and charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with trying to expand its political footprint in the State using all ‘its means’.
