Telangana Congress leaders called to Delhi on October 12

The Telangana Congress has directed its senior leaders to gather in New Delhi to participate in a national protest. The rally aims to demand the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and the cancellation of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
Why it matters
This indicates a coordinated national-level mobilization by the opposition party against the current electoral administration.
The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has asked all party MPs, MLAs, MLCs, District Congress Committee (DCC) and City District Congress Committee (CDCC) presidents, TPCC vice-presidents, general secretaries and senior leaders to reach New Delhi by the night of October 11 or the morning of October 12.
They have asked to report in New Delhi as per the directions of the AICC general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal, according to TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud. He urged the leaders to treat the instruction as a matter of utmost importance.
