Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has sought approval of the Union Cabinet for starting works on the northern section of the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
The Chief Minister , who called on Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday (July 14, 2026), said 95% of the land acquisition on the northern section was completed and hence the Centre should grant necessary clearances expeditiously. Commencement of works on the northern and southern sections of the ambitious RRR project simultaneously would ensure speedy completion besides saving money to the government.
