The Telangana Commission for Backward Classes (TGCBC) is scheduled to visit Nizamabad district on October 7 to interact with victims of social boycott allegedly imposed by Village Development Committees (VDCs) in several villages and review measures being taken by the district administration and police to prevent such incidents.

TGCBC Member Secretary B. Bala Maya Devi said the commission, during a meeting on October 3, took serious note of the reported social boycott of members of the Goud community in Thallarampur village of Ergatla mandal and recurring instances of similar nature in the district.

It has asked the Nizamabad Police Commissioner to ensure that the victims from 23 villages and mandal headquarters, including Ankapur, present their grievances before the panel.
