The issues pertaining to “unparliamentary” language alleged used by a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislator against Telangana Assembly Speaker G. Prasad Kumar and the police “misbehaviour” against BRS women legislators on Monday, rocked the Legislative Assembly for the second consecutive day on Tuesday (September 8, 2026).
As the House assembled for the day, BRS Deputy Floor Leader T. Harish Rao raised placards demanding action against the police officials allegedly indulged in the incident. The Speaker tried to convince the members that the issue was being looked into and appropriate action would be initiated against the personnel responsible once the report was submitted. The BRS members however insisted on their demand even as Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu intervened explaining the agitated members about the steps initiated to get a full report on the incident.
