Teen charged, another critical following alleged Brisbane school stabbing
A 16-year-old student has been charged with attempted maiming following a stabbing at a Brisbane school that left another teenager in critical condition. The incident triggered a multi-hour lockdown and follows a similar stabbing event at a different Queensland school just 24 hours prior.

Queensland Police said an altercation occurred just before midday at the school.
Queensland Ambulance Service told nine.com.au that paramedics arrived at the school at 11.47am after reports of a stabbing.
One boy, 17, sustained potentially life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the chest and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A 16-year-old was charged with one count of intending to maim and disfigure and another count of unlawfully possessing a weapon.
The school was in lockdown for about two hours as police searched for the 16-year-old student.
Authorities said they had been unable to find the teen. He was later located in a car about 10 minutes away.
