The handover took place at the close of the 4th Eastern Africa Regional Emergency Support and Coordination Office (ReSCO) Ministerial Meeting, highlighting growing regional cooperation in responding to public health emergencies.
Tanzania’s Minister of Health, Mohammed Omar Mchengerwa, said the donation demonstrated the importance of practical solidarity among African countries during health crises.
The assistance is expected to contribute to the DRC’s ongoing response efforts by providing critical health commodities at a time when coordinated regional action remains essential to containing the spread of Ebola.
