The Madras High Court Judge, A.D. Jagadish Chandira has said that the technology should assist mankind and not diminish its dignity.

Delivering the convocation address at the PMIST at Vallam near Thanjavur, on September 19, Justice Chandira encouraged the graduates to pursue research with intellectual honesty, respect evidence, acknowledge limitations, and give credit to the work of others. At the same time, one should ensure that technology assisted the mankind and not diminish its dignity.

Women must be present as scientists, engineers architects, researchers entrepreneurs, judges educators, and leaders, Their voices must be heard in the decisions that shape the institutions and communities, he said.
