Teak wood utilisation training draws enthusiastic response

The Kerala Forest Research Institute and Kerala Agricultural University recently concluded a training program on sustainable teak wood utilization. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between research and industry to promote innovation and value-added wood products.

A training programme on “Teak Wood Utilisation and Wood Designing”, jointly organised by the Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) and the College of Forestry, Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), was held here recently. The training was organised as part of the KFRI’s project ‘Promoting Sustainable Teakwood Use in Domestic Markets of India’, funded by the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO).
