Teachers submit witness statements in 5-year-old Maasdorp rape-murder case

SEVERAL teachers, as well as the principal of K.W. von Marees Combined School, have released witness statements in relation to the rape and murder case of the late Ingrid Maasdorp, a five-year-old girl who was raped and murdered in the small town of Okahandja on 20 March 2025.

The witness statements reveal that Dolly Maasdorp, the grandmother of little Ingrid, had dreaded informing her daughter, the biological mother of Ingrid, that her granddaughter had gone missing. It was also detailed that Ingrid had allegedly been left in the company of her classmates before disappearing.
