The Congress-backed Indian National Teachers Congress (INTEC) has written to the Delhi University Vice-Chancellor condemning alleged casteist remarks by a Political Science professor during a television debate and calling for his expulsion.
In a letter to the Vice-Chancellor dated August 20, INTEC wrote, “This statement is deeply offensive and derogatory toward the Dalit community. It perpetuates harmful historical prejudices, promotes social division, and flies in the face of our constitutional values of equality, dignity, and social justice.”
