KUANTAN: A teacher and her son were killed after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded and plunged into a ravine at KM149.9 of Jalan Kuantan-Seremban near Rompin yesterday.
Rompin police chief Supt Sharif Shai Sharif Mondoi said the accident, which occurred at about 9.30pm, claimed the lives of Kartinie Ngatenan, 46, and her six-year-old son Muhammad Akif Mohd Azmi at the scene.
He said preliminary investigations found that the accident occurred when the multipurpose vehicle (MPV), driven by the victim’s 47-year-old husband, was travelling from Seremban, Negri Sembilan, towards Felda Keratong in Rompin.
