TDPP seeks legislation to sternly deal with social media abuse

TDP Parliamentary Party (TDPP) leader Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu told the media after an all-party meeting on the Monsoon Session of Parliament chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Sunday that he requested the Central government to allow a debate on social media abuse and also bring a law to sternly deal with the mischief mongers.
Besides, he sought a Central financial assistance of ₹60,000 crore for the irrigation projects.
Further, Mr. Krishna Devarayalu appealed to the Centre to take stringent action against those doing illegal transfer of funds through mule accounts and to curb the growing menace of shell companies and cyber frauds.
He said the TDPP raised several national and State issues at the all-party meeting, and pressed for steps to expedite linking of the Godavari and Penna rivers.
