TDP welfare activities will ensure victory for the party in local body polls: MLA
TDP MLA Kondru Murali Mohan expressed confidence in his party's victory in upcoming local body elections, citing the government's focus on welfare and development. He noted that several opposition members have recently defected to the TDP.
Why it matters
Political defections and claims of electoral success are key indicators of shifting power dynamics in local governance.
The Telugu Desam Party MLA Kondru Murali Mohan on Friday said the party will emerge victorious in ensuing local body elections as the Chandrababu Naidu government was prioritising both welfare and developmental activities in the State.
Several local leaders and activists of YSRCP joined TDP in the presence of Mr. Murali at his camp office located in Rajam of Vizianagaram district. He said that YSRCP had lost the people’s confidence in 2024 Assembly election and it would be repeated in Municipal and Parishad elections.
