TDP opposes employment opportunity to non-Tamils in Southern Railway

The Thamizh Desiya Peravai has opposed the offer of employment to non-Tamils in Southern Railway.
In a statement issued on September 3, its president P. Maniarasan has pointed to the advertisement seeking applications for employment as trainees in Southern Railway workshops at Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchi Golden Rock-Central workshop, Salem, Perambur Loco Works, Coimbatore, Arakonam Engineering works, Pothanur Signal and Communication workshop, totalling 6,171 posts, from eligible candidates residing in Tamil Nadu as well as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and other Indian territories.
