Drama unfolded on the Palamaner-Krishnagiri national highway near Nayanipalle village on Tuesday evening when a TDP activist allegedly jumped onto the bonnet of Chittoor Zilla Parishad (ZP) Chairman Govindappa Srinivasulu’s moving car after party workers tried to stop it.
Srinivasulu was returning to Baireddipalle mandal after attending a YSRCP programme in Kuppam when the activists allegedly attempted to hand over a representation on local issues. The driver reportedly did not stop, prompting one activist to jump onto the bonnet and cling to the moving vehicle for nearly 3km before being left by the roadside.
