Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce make first appearance as newlyweds

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their first public appearance as a married couple following a high-profile wedding at Madison Square Garden. The event, which cost millions, drew significant attention due to its scale and the logistical costs paid to the city.
Why it matters
The event underscores the massive cultural and economic impact of celebrity weddings and the logistical challenges of hosting them in major public venues.
Taylor Swift showed off her wedding ring as she appeared in public for the first time since she and Travis Kelce tied the knot.
The Opalite singer married the Kansas City Chiefs tight end in a star-studded celebration at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 3, and exactly a week later on Friday local time, the newlyweds stepped out to attend the NFL player’s former teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wedding to Laura Kruk.
Photos from the event at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Orange County, California, showed Taylor wore a strapless pink floral ballgown by Markarian - which retails at US$4115 ($7140) - while her new husband sported a charcoal grey suit.
They both wore sunglasses as they held hands walking through the grounds of the hotel, with their new jewellery on display.
