A group of members of the Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers (TARATDAC) staged a protest near the Collectorate here on Monday urging the State government to enhance the monthly financial assistance provided to persons with disabilities to ₹6,000. The TARATDAC members assembled in the morning near the Collectorate where they staged a protest for about 30 minutes in support of their demand leading to their arrest. Police sources said 138 TARATDAC members, including 65 women, were arrested and later released.
