TARATDAC condemns delay in disbursal of monthly financial assistance

The association is urging the government to expedite payments and transfer the administration of these funds to the Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled.

The Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers has strongly condemned the delay in disbursing the monthly financial assistance of ₹1,500 to differently abled people in Madurai district.
Typically credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts between the third and fifth of every month through the Revenue Department, the financial aid for September has not yet been credited. The association pointed out that this delay has caused severe economic distress for recipients who heavily rely on the funds for daily essentials, medicines, and medical care.
Highlighting that differently abled individuals across the State have already been demanding an increase in the existing assistance amount, the association stressed that withholding even the minimum stipend on time places an added hardship on them.
