Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Ruwa’ichi of Tanzania’s Catholic Archdiocese of Dar-es-Salaam has invited anyone with information relevant to the beatification cause of the Servant of God Julius Kambarage Nyerere to come forward, including those whose accounts may raise concerns about the life of Tanzania’s founding President.
In a video published on Wednesday, October 14, the 27th anniversary of Nyerere’s death, Archbishop Ruwa’ichi encouraged participation in the ongoing inquiry and called on the people of God to support the process through prayer.
“Anyone who believes they have something to contribute to the canonization process of Mwalimu Nyerere is welcome to come forward,” he said.
The Catholic Archbishop explained that the inquiry welcomes both favourable and unfavourable testimony.
