‘Tank Chair’ anime trailer: Polygon Pictures brings violent assassin saga to life

Polygon Pictures has released a trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of the manga 'Tank Chair', scheduled for release in October 2026. The series features a unique premise involving a comatose assassin who is forced into combat by his sister.
Why it matters
The project showcases the ongoing trend of high-budget CG animation adaptations of popular Japanese manga series.
Polygon Pictures has unveiled a new trailer for Tank Chair , giving audiences their clearest look yet at the upcoming anime based on Yashiro’s manga. The series follows Nagi Taira, a legendary assassin who falls into a coma after protecting his younger sister Shizuka from a barrage of gunfire. His recovery comes with an unusual condition: Nagi can only awaken when someone directs murderous intent toward him.
Shizuka therefore takes an extreme approach to rehabilitation. She begins dragging her unconscious brother into battles against increasingly dangerous opponents, hoping that the threat of death will trigger his return to consciousness. The trailer turns that premise into a barrage of kinetic action, with Nagi’s specialised wheelchair functioning as both his means of transport and a weapon built for combat.
