Tangadagi consoles family of landslide victims, promises continued support
Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi visited the families of landslide victims in Kakkaragol village to distribute disaster relief funds. The government has pledged ongoing support for the education of the surviving children and assistance with housing.

Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi on Friday (August 7) visited Kakkaragol village in Karatagi taluk to console the family members of three persons who lost their lives in the recent landslide at Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district.
The Minister handed over documents confirming the release of ₹15 lakh as disaster relief compensation sanctioned by the tahsildar, Shivamogga, under the Disaster Management Fund. The amount has been equally distributed between the deceased couple’s two daughters, Divya and Mahalakshmi, with ₹7.5 lakh each credited directly to their respective bank accounts.
The compensation receipts were handed over to the children in the presence of their grandmother Gouramma.
Mr. Tangadagi assured the family of all possible assistance for the children’s education. Divya, 7, is studying in class 1, while Mahalakshmi, 9, is a class 3 student.
