MADURAI: Tirunelveli city police on Saturday arrested a biryani shop owner on allegations that a banner depicted Lord Ganesha eating biryani.According to the complainant, Selvaraj, 42, of Narasinganallur, alleged that he had noticed that the banner outside the ‘Dindigul Kalyana Biryani’ shop showed Lord Ganesha eating biryani.He also alleged that the banner was put up with an intention to insult the religious sentiments of Hindus.Based on the complaint, Tirunelveli city police began an inquiry and arrested Jeyanth, 30, of KTC…
