Tamil Nadu CM Vijay announces further hike of milk procurement price to ₹44 per litre

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Monday (August 31, 2029) announced a further increase of ₹3 in the procurement price of milk procured by primary milk producers’ cooperative societies in the State, raising the price to ₹44 per litre.
Making a suo motu statement in the Assembly, he said on August 19 that the government had increased the procurement price by ₹3 per litre , while the cooperative societies had increased it by ₹1, raising the price from ₹38 to ₹41.
