The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) has decided to support the AIADMK’s candidates in the upcoming byelections to Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
Stating this after paying homage to former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai on his birth anniversary, Mr. Dhinakaran told reporters that he would campaign for them.
Meanwhile, the AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, along with his party colleagues, offered floral tributes to the portrait of Annadurai. Former Minister D. Jayakumar reiterated his party's stand on the new Secretariat-Assembly project in Foreshore Estate (Pattinapakkam) and wanted the government to drop the move.
