Tamil H-1B worker seeks help after firing; US lawmaker Suhas Subramanyam responds

Indian-origin Democrat Rep. Suhas Subramanyam directly addressed the viral claims against him doing the rounds on social media that he helped Tamil people who are not even in his district. An anti-H-1 B activist Nick Plumb shared some screenshots that he said he got from a private Tamil community, showing that a man who had a medical emergency earlier this year got fired from his job. Others in the private group suggested that they might seek help from Subramanyam.Plumb pointed out that the Tamil H-1B man lives in Herndon which is in Virginia's 11th Congressional District, while Subramanyam represents the 10th District. "House Ethics guidance says members generally should not devote official resources to casework for people outside their district and can instead refer them to their own representative or senators.
