Tamil culture’s antiquity and continuity are its pride, says Minister Rajmohan

Minister for School Education Rajmohan on Sunday said the cultural pride of Tamils lay not only in their antiquity but also in continuation of their ancient art, culture and lifestyle traditions to the present day.

He was addressing an event organised to release books and research papers as part of Indus Valley Day held at Porunai museum here.

Describing the event as important, he said the history of Tamil Nadu, particularly the significance of Porunai civilisation. Every artefact unearthed through archaeological studies highlighted an important chapter of history. The modern technological facilities set up at the museum, including 5D film and VR technology, were designed to make visitors experience history rather than merely view it.
