Tambaram City Police bust drug syndicate of history sheeters supplying in Perumbakkam
Tambaram City Police arrested seven individuals in two separate operations for trafficking ganja in the Perumbakkam and Guduvanchery areas. Several of the suspects are identified as history-sheeters with multiple prior criminal cases.

The Tambaram City Police have arrested seven drug traffickers in two separate operations and seized a total of 12.7 kg of ganja, along with vehicles, mobile phones and a knife, as part of their ongoing crackdown on narcotics. Three of them are the history sheeters who were supplying ganja and narcotic substances to labourers in Perumbakkam.
Acting on the instructions of Tambaram City Police Commissioner Prem Anand Sinha, Perumbakkam police conducted a raid on Thursday, following specific intelligence about ganja being smuggled from Andhra Pradesh and sold in the city. The police team rushed to the identified location and intercepted the suspects.
