The Tambaram Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested two persons accused in separate cheating and misappropriation cases involving a total amount of over ₹4.63 crore.
In the first case, based on a complaint lodged by Theneeswari, a case was registered at the CCB on June 10. The complainant alleged she was induced to invest ₹95,000 in Globes Group Digital Private Limited on false promises of employment, partnership, and substantial profits. She was further induced to make additional investments and enroll other persons by assuring profits and repayment through a digital wallet facility.
