Take up 6-km long L.B. Nagar-Hayatnagar elevated corridor, give nod for RRR northern section: Telangana R&B Minister

Telangana's Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has requested the Indian central government to approve several major infrastructure projects, including an elevated corridor in Hyderabad and the Regional Ring Road. These projects aim to boost economic growth, improve regional connectivity, and alleviate traffic congestion in the state.
Why it matters
Infrastructure development is critical for regional economic expansion and urban planning in rapidly growing Indian cities like Hyderabad.
Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has urged the Centre to take up the construction of a six-kilometre long double-decker elevated corridor between L.B. Nagar and Hayatnagar in Hyderabad, accord immediate approval for the southern section of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), approve the Hyderabad-Amaravati Greenfield Expressway, and sanction other crucial road infrastructure projects.
In a representation submitted to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat on Monday (October 5, 2026), on the sidelines of the Chintan Shivir, Mr. Reddy sought the Centre’s support for key infrastructure projects that would accelerate economic growth, improve connectivity between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, enhance access to tourist destinations, and address traffic congestion in Hyderabad.
