Taiwan central bank governor Yang Chin-long receives A- rating

--> Taiwan central bank governor Yang Chin-long received an A- rating in the annual Central Banker Report Cards 2026 compiled by New York-based magazine Global Finance. This is the second consecutive year he has received this rating.

As Taipei Times reports , Yang Chin-long was among 25 central bank governors worldwide whom Global Finance assigned the top categories of A+, A or A-. Through an assistant, he thanked the publication for the recognition and said that he and his colleagues at the central bank would continue their work.

The magazine evaluates central bank governors on a scale from A to F. The criteria include success in curbing inflation, achieving economic growth targets, maintaining currency stability, managing interest rates and preserving political independence. An A rating means excellent performance, while F signifies total failure.
