TAFTA's 'Àjose' Explores Justice & W

The Terra Academy for the Arts, in partnership with Vision Spring Initiatives, has staged the third showcase of ‘Àjose’, a theatrical production and radio drama initiative designed to promote conversations around women’s health, healing, justice and social responsibility. The showcase, held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, brought together students, creatives and members of the community for a theatrical experience that combined entertainment with discussions on sensitive social issues. Building on the response to its first and second showcases, the latest presentation used culturally grounded storytelling and emotionally engaging performances to explore themes including compassion, wellbeing, collective responsibility and women’s reproductive health. The organisers said the production was designed to make complex and sensitive issues more relatable and accessible, particularly to young audiences.
