Tabung Haji RCI report may be released today, says Anwar

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that the Royal Commission of Inquiry report on the Tabung Haji pilgrimage fund may be released soon. The delay was intended to ensure the fund's recovery and restructuring were not compromised by public panic.

Transparency in the management of national pilgrimage funds is vital for maintaining public trust and financial stability in Malaysia.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the disclosure of the RCI report on Tabung Haji was delayed to allow recovery and restructuring efforts at the pilgrimage fund to continue.
KUALA LUMPUR: The royal commission of inquiry (RCI) report on Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) could be released either today or after next Wednesday's Cabinet meeting, says Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar said the decision to disclose the report had been made in principle, but was delayed to allow TH's recovery and management overhaul to proceed smoothly.
"The people have a right to know. I just need to check with the chief secretary to the government on whether the process needs to be referred to the Cabinet first.
