T.N. government sets up State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre
The Tamil Nadu government has designated its Cyber Crime Wing Headquarters as the State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (TN-S4C). This move aligns the state with national frameworks to improve inter-agency cooperation and response to cyber crimes.

The State government has designated the Cyber Crime Wing Headquarters as the Tamil Nadu State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (TN-S4C) for effective co-ordination between law enforcement agencies of the Union and State governments for swift assistance to cyber crime victims.
The move follows a Supreme Court order dated December 1 last year in a suo motu writ petition, directing the Union and States/ Union Territories to establish and operationalise a mechanism for effective coordination between them on matters concerning ‘Digital Arrest’.
Subsequently, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs sent a letter directing the establishment of such centres as State-level nodal agencies for the prevention, detection, and investigation of cyber crimes as well as for providing prosecution support and a coordinated response.
