Murat Yakin’s side were looking to bounce back following a shock 1-1 draw with Qatar in their Group B opener, but they initially laboured with Dan Ndoye and Remo Freuler both firing wide in a first half low on thrills. Bosnia included Edin Dzeko in their starting XI as he became just the fourth outfield player over 40 to feature at a World Cup. However, the Schalke forward was a peripheral figure for large periods. The contest appeared to be petering out, but it suddenly burst into life with real drama as an influx of key substitutions led to five goals and a red card packed into the final 16 minutes (plus stoppage time). Manzambi made an instant impact off the bench as he broke the deadlock with a 74th-minute volley before Bosnia saw Tarik Muharemovic sent off soon after. Image credit: Getty Images
