Survey ordered to trace 45 acres missing from records near KCR’s farmhouse

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered a survey to locate 45 acres of missing land in Siddipet district, which is allegedly linked to former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao. The government plans to redistribute any recovered land to local farmers and develop a colony for families of the Telangana movement martyrs.
Why it matters
This investigation highlights ongoing political tensions and land reform efforts in Telangana, focusing on accountability for high-profile political figures.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to issue a survey notification immediately to identify 45 acres of land that are unaccounted for in Survey No. 325 in Erravalli village and its hamlet, Venkatapuram in Markook mandal of Siddipet district.
Notices would also be issued to obtain the land records of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members, whose land was located near Survey No. 325. Mr. Reddy directed that any land identified during the survey be distributed among eligible local farmers.
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the inquiry into the land after allegations of ‘land grabbing’ against the BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao emerged regarding the construction of his farmhouse. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, CMO Principal Secretary Seshadri, and members of the committees constituted to inquire into land irregularities and Dharani-related issues attended the meeting.
